Hello and welcome to our Autumn Newsletter  -  Hoping that 2018 has started well for everyone and that you had some time to enjoy the amazing Summer days and nights.  The mixed bag that February threw at us changed things though.  Personally I love March and Wanaka kicked it off with another huge successful A&P Show.  Turnkey Homes were proud to be a sponsor for another year.
January and February hosted many events bringing thousands of visitors to the area.  In a few weeks we have the 30th Warbirds over Wanaka and if pre-sales are anything to go by it will be the biggest ever.

Team Profile:
Kristy Jennings
Kristy started with the Turnkey team back in September 2017 as a Planning and Design Coordinator.  She comes to us with a world of knowledge having been self employed in the Resource Management industry for the past 15 years.  Working for a range of organisations including Councils, construction and mining.  Her employment at the Queenstown Lakes District Council has given her a good knowledge of the local planning requirements.

Her role at Turnkey Homes is to work with the clients from the initial meeting to help to produce a concept plan that is fully consented whilst maximising the potential of the site.

Kristy has a great love of the outdoors and in her spare time she is likely to be training for the next big off terrain Triathlon or hanging with her two children aged 6 and 8.

We are very fortunate to have Kristy as part of the Turnkey Team.

Aluminium Joinery:
When choosing Aluminium Joinery there are several options and upgrades to take into account.  These include Argon Filled, Thermally Broken and Low E.

At Turnkey Homes all our windows are Argon filled with the option of upgrading to Thermally Broken and Low E.

Argon Filled:  The energy efficiency can be further increased by substituting dehydrated air with an inert gas such as Argon within the unit.  Argon which has 34% lower thermal conductivity than air is the most commonly used.

Thermally Broken refers to how the window is constructed.  The aluminium frame is manufactured with a barrier in between the inside and outside window frames that will prevent the conductive Thermal energy loss.

Low E glass has a microscopically thin, transparent coating that reflects long-wave infrared energy (or heat).  This reduces the amount of energy you need to heat or cool your home.

All of the above have benefits of making Turnkey Homes warm and cosy.

The Winter Games in PyeongChang were Incredible!

It was great to see so many from Wanaka competing.  We certainly have world class facilities AND world class athletes.  Zoi and Nico (pictured below) both from Wanaka were the only New Zealanders to win medals, both bringing home Bronze.  The show of support from the locals at their home coming was a very special event.
